CSI PROJECTS
Overview of Projects:
GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE PROJECT
25 November 2021
Mossfish partnered with God Cares, a local NGO, to survey the extend of Gender-Based Violence in the Southern Cape. This was an extensive survey that was conducted over a period of one year. The results of this survey were published on 25 November 2021. Through this survey, we could establish the most targeted areas and groups as well as the factors leading to gender-based violence.
Mossfish will also be part of the further plans to establish a unique Phone Application that people can use to assist in these situations.
Mossfish contributed towards the Gender-Based Violence project. It also contributed a lot of time and effort in setting up the questionnaires, assisting throughout the survey, processing the data and compiling the report. Our inputs and professional guidance through this process has made a huge difference in the outcome of this project.
E'PAP
Past 12 months
e'Pap is an affordable package of instant mix food that delivers 28 nutrients. In South Africa, with our huge unemployment rate and poverty levels, "hidden hunger", or Type 2 malnutrition is a reality. With one bowl of e'Pap per day, Mossfish aims to resolve hidden hunger by providing affordable, easily digestible, and nutrient-rich food to the people.
Mossfish has contributed towards the distribution of E-pap in the past 12 months. We targeted Barkley East as part of our strategy to reach the extremely rural areas of the Eastern Cape where the incidence of hidden hunger and hunger itself, is extremely high. To roll out this project successfully we have partnered with the local Social Workers and Occupational Therapist in Barkley East. This initiative is also a long-term project.
